About Me
Dr. Taraneh Matin, D.O., is a double board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic surgeon specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer. She completed advanced fellowship training in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology, as well as fellowships in Dermoscopy and Cutaneous Oncology and Dermatologic Research.
A Southern California native, Dr. Matin is thrilled to return home and care for patients in the community where she grew up. She is passionate about helping patients look and feel their healthiest while providing thoughtful, personalized care. She is particularly grateful to work in Mohs surgery, an advanced technique that allows for precise and efficient treatment of skin cancer while preserving as much healthy tissue as possible.
Dr. Matin believes that excellent dermatologic care goes beyond treating a diagnosis. It is about getting to know each patient and making them feel comfortable, informed, and confident throughout their care. She speaks Farsi and values the opportunity to connect with and care for patients from diverse backgrounds.
Outside of the office, Dr. Matin enjoys spending time with her family and their corgi, especially taking walks along the beach, always with appropriate sun protection, of course.
